Yakushima Filmは、屋久島に暮らすガイドや写真家・映像作家が集まり、写真と映像の力で島の「今」を伝えるプロジェクトです。

これまで数多くの写真集やメディアが屋久島を切り撮ってきましたが、デジタル時代において高画質の記録はまだ十分に共有されていません。私たちは、ガイドの視点と写真家の感性を重ね合わせ、屋久島の自然・文化・歴史をデジタルで後世に引き継いでいくことをミッションとして活動しています。

 

今回、大阪万博で上映する屋久島の自然美をまとめた映像を、第5回屋久島国際写真祭の期間中、aperuyにて上映します。ぜひお越しください。

Yakushima Film is a collaborative project formed by local guides, photographers, and filmmakers living on Yakushima Island, dedicated to conveying the island’s “now” through the power of photography and film.

 

Although countless photo books and media have captured fragments of Yakushima over the years, in today’s digital age, high-quality visual records of the island are still far from fully shared. Our mission is to combine the guides’ intimate perspectives with the creative sensibilities of photographers, preserving Yakushima’s nature, culture, and history in a lasting digital archive for future generations.

 

This time, we are pleased to present a special screening of a film capturing the breathtaking natural beauty of Yakushima — originally created for the Osaka Expo — during the 5th Yakushima International Photography Festival at aperuy. We warmly invite you to join us.
