国際写真祭の開催
世界自然遺産の島・屋久島を舞台に著名な写真家が国内外より集い、展示やワークショップを通して写真家・参加者・島民が「写真」という表現物を介して相互に交流を深めることを目的とした写真祭の開催。
アーティストインレジデンス
屋久島を舞台に作品制作をしていただくアーティストインレジデンス（滞在制作）の場を設けております。写真家が撮る新たな屋久島の表現は、従来の観光地のイメージだけではない屋久島の魅力を引き出し、その多様な価値を伝えます。そして、ここで制作された作品は、フランスをはじめとする国際的写真祭に出展されます。
国内外における展示活動
国内外におけるフォトイベントに展示する移動式ギャラリーとして参加し、展示を通して屋久島の魅力を「写真」で世界に発信し、そこから島の活性化を目指します。
ファウンドフォトアーカイブスプロジェクト
屋久島内26集落の一般家庭に眠る個人アルバムから写真を集約する試みです。個から公へと共有されることで、写真の中にあった物語が広がり、新たな視点の発見へと結びつく事を目的としています。在りし日の屋久島の文化、歴史、産業、暮らしの風景をアーカイブス化することによって、視点の拡張と新たな発見へと結びつけることを目的とした「ファンドフォトアーカイブスプロジェクト」の実施。

ポートフォリオレビュー
欧米を中心としたアートワールドからオルタナティブな立場である日本には実力はあるがまだ世に出ていない才能溢れる写真家が存在します。 そこでYPFは日本人写真家に向け「YPF PHOTO AWARDS」並びに「ポートフォリオレビュー」を開催し意欲のある参加者を広く募集し、受賞者にはアルル国際写真祭開催期間中にGalerie MONSTREで展示 の機会を設け、新たな才能を世に送り出します。
International Photo Festival
Holding a festival whose purposes are letting photographers, visitors, and the locals communicate with others through exhibitions, and some workshops via photographs as a measure. Prestigious photographers come to the island Yakushima which is known as The Island of natural heritage Site.
Artist in residence
We have a place for artists to make works for a certain period in Yakushima. We call it Artist Residence or Staying while making. Photographs from different artists will influence our potential images as a tourist site and allow the island to show its unheard of and unseen various values. The works will be showcased at international photo festivals such as one in France.
The exhibition activities
As a result of holding mobile photo events domestically and internationally and broadcasting the attraction of Yakushima via photographs, we aim for the prosperity of the island.
Found Photo Archives Project
The photographs will be collected from private photo albums in 26 villages in Yakushima Town and displayed and cataloged to create an archive of the culture, history, and industry, which allows us to know about the previous day in Yakushima. The Found Photo Archives Project aims to expand perspectives and lead to new discoveries by sharing the stories in the photographs from the individual to the public through the exhibition.
Portfolio Review by international experts
As an alternative to the Western art world, Japan is home to many talented photographers who have not made their mark yet on the world. YPF will hold the "YPF PHOTO AWARDS" and "Portfolio Review" for Japanese photographers, inviting a wide range of motivated participants and offering the winners the opportunity to exhibit their work at Galerie MONSTRE during the Arles International Photography Festival.

ANTONIN BORGEAUD
1967年、フランス / プロバンス地方 / アルル生まれ。写真家。66年にバマコビエンナーレにて個展開催「GEO」や「AIR FRANCE」など多くの雑誌での掲載の経験を持つ。2015年より屋久島国際写真祭共同創設者を務める。
Born in Arles, Provence, France in 1967. Photographer. Antonin Held a solo exhibition at the Bamako Biennale in 66. Antonin has experience of being published in many magazines such as "GEO" and "AIR FRANCE". Co-founder of Yakushima Photography Festival since 2015.
千々岩 孝道
KODO CHIJIIWA
1976年、日本 / 九州 / 佐賀県生まれ。写真家。2008年に在独中に個展を開催し活動を始める。2019年に「BZH PHOTO」に第一回アーティストインレジデンス作家とし招待を受ける。2023年にはM.K. チュルリョーニス国立美術館にて個展を開催。2015年より屋久島国際写真祭共同創設者を務める。
Born in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan in 1976. Photographer. Kodo started his activities by holding a solo exhibition in Germany in 2008. Invited as the first artist-in-residence at "BZH PHOTO" in 2019. Held a solo exhibition at the M.K. Ciurlionis National Museum of Art in 2023. Co-founder of Yakushima Photography Festival since 2015.
クレオ シャリュエ
CLEO CHARUET
1971年、フランス / イル-ド-フランス / パリ生まれ。ぺニンゲン美術学校でグラフィックを学び、テレビ局のタイトルデザインを経験し、99年に独立。「PARIS PHOTO」のポスター、「ロジェ・ヴィヴィエ」などの書籍装丁やIDデザインまで幅広く活動する。2015年より屋久島国際写真祭アートディレクターを務める。
Born in Paris, Ile-de-France, France in 1971. Cleo studied graphic design at the Penninghen School of Art and worked as a title designer for a TV station. Became independent in 99. Works on a wide range of projects, from posters for "PARIS PHOTO" to book covers and ID design for "Roger Vivier".
Art director of Yakushima Photography Festival since 2015.

The connections between the photographs created by the Yakushima Photography Festival and shared through the exhibition activities will further expand the network, involving collaborators and spreading far and wide. In the same way, the images of Yakushima expressed in photographs travel around the world, attracting the interest of many people and contributing to regional revitalisation by increasing awareness of Yakushima and the number of visitors to the island.
